This is depressing to read. To take John Farrell off the Jays' hands, the Sox should be RECEIVING prospects from Toronto. In addition, who would ever interview with the Sox again? I speak for the four good men who have interviewed for the manager job in good faith. If that is all for naught due to some "super-secret negotiations," then we should all be embarrassed for this organization.
Why would the Red Sox waste the time of Tony Pena, between games in New York and Detroit, fly in Brad Ausmus, DeMarlo Hale and Tim Wallach if Farrell was their guy. They should have had the class and smarts to either get Farrell or not and then move onto the other candidates. It shows every guy in baseball moving forward that don't waste your time on Boston.
