Notes: MLB managerial searches taking place

Marlins, Rockies, Jays compile lists

SAN FRANCISCO — The World Series is under way, and meanwhile the Rockies, Blue Jays, and Marlins have begun managerial searches in earnest.

Ozzie Guillen was fired Tuesday, leaving the Marlins looking for what may be a low-cost first-timer, since they will be paying Guillen $7.5 million for the remaining three years on his contract.
