LONDON — After a few weeks of saying there was plenty of time left this season to figure out what was ailing them and make the proper adjustments, the Patriots on Friday changed their tune a bit.

Heading into their eighth game of the season — the midway point — there is certainly time to improve, as the Patriots showed last year when they lost in Weeks 8 and 9 but did not lose again until the Super Bowl.
