Last December, doctors diagnosed Celtics forward Jeff Green with an aortic root aneurysm that could have killed him. Now, after open heart surgery in January and regaining his gift for basketball, he will be a key part of the Celtics this season. “I show the scar off whenever I can,” said Green. “It is a part of me now. . . . It is a reminder that I’ve battled something that a lot of people doubted I was going to come back from.”
