Boys’ soccer stars of the week

Evan Jastremski, Marshfield — The captain scored twice and added two assists in a 7-1 win over Plymouth South, and for an encore netted a hat trick against Sandwich in a 6-0 win. The senior has tallied 28 goals on the season.

James Eline, Seekonk — The Warriors scored 11 goals in three wins, and the junior striker figured in eight, scoring four and assisting on four to help Seekonk secure a postseason berth.

Nathan Peterson, Masphee — The senior forward had three assists and six goals, three of which were game-winners that pushed the Falcons to a 15-2-0 record. Peterson upped his season totals to 19 goals and 15 assists.

Michael Denehy, Canton — The senior captain moved into second place on the Bulldogs’ all-time scoring list, netting three goals with an assist in a 6-1 win over Stoughton. It was his second hat trick of the week, having accomplished the feat in a 7-1 win over Foxboro.

Alexander Alleyne, St. Mary’s — In two games, the senior captain scored three goals and added two assists to help the Spartans capture the Catholic Central Large title. Two of Alleyne’s goals were game-winners, and he now has 18 strikes on the season to go with 11 assists.

Newton Jordao, Barnstable — Playing from a defensive midfield position, the junior has been making it work on both ends of the field, setting up a tying goal and scoring the winner against Duxbury, then converting his team’s only goal against Martha’s Vineyard.
