Dartmouth piled up 330 yards on the ground and Dalyn Williams and Dominick Pierre combined for five touchdowns to help the Big Green roll over Cornell, 44-28, on Saturday and improve to 4-0 on the road this season.
Pierre set the tone early for Dartmouth (5-3, 3-2 Ivy League), scoring on runs of 1 and 9 yards to provide a 14-0 first-quarter lead. Williams’s 2-yard touchdown pass to Justin Foley made it 21-0, and he connected with Michael Riley on 22-yard pass with one second left in the first half for a 28-7 lead.
On the Big Green’s first possession of the third quarter, Williams ran it in from 35 yards.
Pierre finished with 154 yards on 26 carries. Williams picked up 96 yards on eight carries and was 14-of-20 passing for 160 yards and two scores.
Cornell (4-4, 2-3) received 315 yards passing and three touchdowns from Jeff Mathews, but Mathews was picked off three times. Stephen Dazzo, Garrett Waggoner, and Miles Gay recorded the interceptions.
Penn 28, Princeton 21 — Billy Ragone passed for one touchdown and ran for another and the Quakers defense forced four turnovers to remain tied for first place in the Ivy with Harvard. Penn (4-4, 4-1) hosts the Crimson next weekend.
Each of Ragone’s scores catapulted the Quakers into the lead, including a 3-yard TD run with 2:59 to play that snapped a 21-21 tie.
The turnovers undermined an effective offensive outing for the Tigers (4-4, 3-2), who outpassed Penn, 319-96.
Brown 20, Yale 0 — At Providence, Patrick Donnelly passed for two scores for the Bears (5-2, 2-3), while the Bulldogs (2-6, 1-4) totaled just 22 yards passing and zero first downs through the air. A.J. Cruz picked off a pair of passes for Brown.
Donnelly found Cody Taulbee for a 3-yard touchdown pass with five minutes left in the first quarter to put Brown on top, 7-0. The Bears added a touchdown late in the third quarter when Donnelly (24 of 48, 232 yards) found Jordan Evans for 25 yards.
