The Red Sox have signed catcher David Ross to a two-year deal, Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal has reported.

Ross was a backup catcher in Atlanta the past four seasons, and he played between 54 and 62 games each season. He was with the Red Sox in 2008 and played eight games in the majors and six at Pawtucket.
