FOXBOROUGH — Patriots quarterback Tom Brady stood behind receiver Wes Welker Sunday after Welker dropped two passes against the Bills. On the first, Welker dropped what looked like a sure touchdown with 7:38 remaining in the first quarter. Welker dropped another short pass over the middle later in the game. Both balls went through Welker’s hands.
“Wes is ... I’m always going to go to him,” said Brady. “He’s one of the best to ever play. He has the mental toughness to fight through it. He’ll be fine.”
