Walpole field hockey has the winning touch

The Porkers are still perfect. Walpole (22-0) won the Division 1 South title Sunday, blanking Sandwich, 2-0, at Taunton High School. The win gave the Porkers their eighth sectional title in 11 years — last year they lost in the South final to Duxbury.

“We wanted this one,’’ said Walpole coach Marianne Murphy. “We were disappointed last year with our play and we’ve been working hard to get back to this point and win the South again.”
