The Patriots surrendered a season-high 162 yards rushing to the Buffalo Bills Sunday while allowing 319 yards passing. When it was all said and done, the defense gave up 481 total yards and still managed to pull out a win, 37-31. The loss dropped the Buffalo Bills to 3-6 and gave the Patriots a 3-0 record against AFC East opponents. Two wins have came against the Bills, but they weren’t similar. In Week 4, the Patriots exploded in the second half en route to a 52-28 victory over Buffalo that looked more like a varsity team beating up on its junior squad. On Sunday, the Patriots were on their heels as the Bills drove down the field looking for the go-ahead touchdown with less than a minute remaining.
