Nice analysis of the defense. This almost makes it sound like it could have been intentional. Clearly there is sufficient knowledge in the Pats organization to understand the problems listed here. Apparently there was insufficient motivation to prevent those problems. Or maybe even a reason to skate through the game being too lax? At the risk of false accusations or unfounded conspiracy theories, we are left with a problem to understand. The article gives a nice recap of what happened. The "why" to it can't be answered from outside the organization.
