NHL lockout doesn’t make owners look good

What I don’t want to hear is how you, the self-professed lifelong hockey fan, are giving up on hockey. You’re coming back. You know it and I know it, so let’s admit the truth and move on.

The owners know it, too.

Well put Bob.

This is 100 % spot on. I hope every NHL fan reads this.

I miss the NHL of 20 years ago. Not the NHL of 2012. I don't care if the current NHL comes back or not.

Couldn't have put it better myself. Greedy, selfish, self absorbed business men who really don't give a crap about the fans. Rmember it the next time they hold some phony "fan appreciation" day or night. And it's not just the NHL. It is all of pro sports. The owners think of fans as cash cows. Who, when the sport is put on ice by greed, avarice, vengence and stupid arrogance, are expected to do what they always do, cry and moan but come crawling back with fist fulls of cash to hand over to those very same owners. Not that the players don't share a part of the responsibility. But, it is usually the poor, mis-understood owners that try to grab a bigger piece of the pie for themselves at the expense of both players and fans.

There isn't a tub of Wright's Cream big enough to get Jacobs' greasy handprints off the Cup.
