It's not Belichick's job to write your damn columns for you. How long is that going to take to sink in? His job is to win football games. I know you would rather have a coach like Rex Ryan, whose press conferences give you endless fodder to pound out your required word count, but I'd rather have Belichick focus entirely on running the team. I only need him to entertain me for three hours every Sunday. That's it.

It's not about you, Dan. No one needs you to tell us what's happening at Foxborough. If it's important a player can tweet it.

CIA Bill does it again. Maybe he should replace Petraeus. How about putting the entire B-unit in there because at that point, the game has been won and you get some playing time for guys who might have to be subbed in later in the season in case someone, you know, get's injured. Respect for Kissinger? The man who gave us the Kmher Rouge and Augusto Pinochet? No thanks, Dan.

What's more amazing is that writers and media hounds continue to attend Bill's pressers like loyal dogs expecting him to say something.

It's mildly amusing when sports writers criticize Bill Belichick because he refuses to do their jobs for them. It's absolutely hilarious when Dan Shaughnessy begins uncorking that whine by calling out others for hysteria and being "haters".

Dan: Bill is nothing if not consistent. He doesn't make media errors because he handles information the same way for everyone. Remember how ticked off we all were when we got the conflicting reports on Jacoby Ellsbury a few years ago? By handling things the same way every time, you avoid those issues. While it is convenient for all of us to know as soon as the information is available, nothing really changes at game time. As you say, the shock would be if Gronk showed up in uniform. Bill can work in retirement as the keeper of the Witness Protection Program list.

Dan, did you read your own paper?  Out 4-8 weeks.  Most likely to miss the remaining games of the regular season.  That is hardly "mum" by any stretch of the imagination.

Dan...the fans don't really care, it is the writers that don't like the non answers.

We are used to Belichick's monotone answers and non answers, over and over, Sunday after Sunday, game after game in which he could pre-record one for a victory and one for a loss. There is little difference in his answers. Belichick would love it if nobody showed up for his post game comments or his manditory weekly press conference. The media should just walk out when he sits down, Let's see what Mr. Kraft thinks after that happens?

You have to give him credit for being consistent. However you view Belichick, he's been successful with how he conducts business so there's no reason for him to change, not that he would. Winning is everything so he gets away with his boorish behavior. Good point on the lifeguard chairs. What's up with that? How disrespectful to the guests Kraft has in the owner's box. Maybe he has that young chippy of his in a playpen underneath his chair!

There is no perfect happiness in this world. That is why most people believe in  heaven and hell. We may not like every aspect of BB's coaching but we enjoy the majority of the results. It's kind of like being a member of a political party. You may not agree with everything but you believe in the overall ideas.
