With Damon Amendolara, the Sports Hub’s energetic evening host since its inception in August 2009, moving on in a few weeks to bigger and later things as the national overnight host on CBS Sports Radio, he is left with an uncommon opportunity in the volatile world of radio: to suggest his own successor.
But with a few in-house hopefuls at the Sports Hub whom he counts as friends, and with the knowledge that he is Exhibit A that hiring someone from elsewhere can be a successful approach, Amendolara is passing on making a public endorsement.

I would LOVE to see Jerome Wiggins take over Amendolara's time slot.
Wiggy is a legitimate local guy who knows and loves Boston sports.
Also, we have two 24-hour sports talk stations in Boston and only one local African-American co-host between the two stations.!?!
Wiggy all the way!
In that time slot, one in which you often lack callers, you need a trained radio guy. Someone like Wiggy would be lost trying to fill time. He is amusing but really couldn't work alone.

Let's do a quick review of how the Bellichick haters covered the game last night: Ty law: I fell asleep in the third quarter. That's how we feel about all your post game commentary on the Pats: Uninformed, off point, lacking any strategic input and agenda driven. Its not too, too late to go back to Aliquippa,Ty. Maybe the lemmings still worship you there. And what a follower the once beloved Troy has become, when he knows better. And Felgie, the man who told everyone that the Jets organization was better than the Pats not so long ago and said that Rex had something on the Patriots. Yeah, Rex has something, six losses in the last eight games, most of them embarrasing. Then there's Sox employeee and apologist, Dale Arnold on Red Sox state radio this morning: the first hgalf hour was dominated on Tim Tebow talk. Just what Pats fans were craving for. Then he asked why is Brady in there? Then the Jets are pathetic. Then criticism of the bset Offensive Coordinator in the NFL's play calling. I listened carefully for one shred of praise for the coach and the team, but Dale was having none of that. This from a man who, along with Holley, never let me get two sentences in on what an enabler Terry Francona was, two years before the mutiny. I left Borges out, because no none reads him, like Bob Ryan.
Anyone but Bertrand. He's terrible.
