Ryan Osiecki threw a pair of touchdown passes to Jason Thompson for New Haven but his Hail Mary toss on the game’s final play was knocked loose, giving Indiana (Pa.) a 17-14 win Saturday in West Haven, Conn., in the second round of the NCAA Division 2 playoffs.
Trailing by 3, Osiecki drove the Chargers from their 6-yard line to the Crimson Hawks’ 31 with 14 seconds left. Osiecki threw the ball away on second down, leaving New Haven with one final chance.
