Red Sox should go after a Josh Hamilton or Joe Mauer

Since winning back-to-back World Series in 1992-93, the Blue Jays have been afterthoughts in the AL East, left behind by the big spenders in New York and Boston and the thrifty but successful Rays. But Toronto’s blockbuster trade with the Marlins and the signing of free agent Melky Cabrera give new manager John Gibbons, back for his second stint with the team, plenty to work with in making the Blue Jays a playoff threat again:
