If BC finds the right coach, don’t get too attached

Chestnut Hill will never be mistaken for Tuscaloosa, Ala., Gainesville, Fla., Athens, Ga., Columbus, Ohio, Baton Rouge, La., or any of the other various bastions of college football zealotry where people voluntarily abandon tailgaiting to, you know, attend the game.

Those are schools where football is regarded as religion. Boston College is a school where religion is regarded as religion.

Wow!  This is the best article on BC I've read in a long time. It puts everything into perspective better than anyone I've read in the sports world.  Good job Gasper.  You really know your stuff.

I agree with Dogdays.  Gasper hit the nail right on the head.  BC is just a stepping stone for an up and coming Coach to prove himself.  I mean, just look at the contract that Les Miles signed... at 4.3 million dollars a year?  There is no way that BC would ever pay a coach that kind of money.  Not to mention, I don't think that is the football program that BC is looking for.... is it?  Good job Gasper.  Keep up the good work.
