The Red Sox had general manager Ben Cherington meet with reporters in a drafty hallway at Fenway Park Saturday morning, just a few feet away from where snow was falling.
“I hope this is going to be quick,” said Cherington, who had left his jacket behind.

Jonny Gomes is not an everyday left fielder. The Sox need to be diligent is their search. Needless to say this is a key position that requires a true everyday, consistent player. The team is fooling itself and the fans if they believe he will provide such stability, considering nothing in his past suggests as much.
How about bringing back Youk to play first base on a one year contract. He deserves it................
