NHL sides have another marathon meeting

NEW YORK — On Wednesday, for the second straight day, a group of National Hockey League owners and players gathered at the Westin New York Hotel in Times Square in hopes of solving the lockout.

The group of six owners and 20 players met for more than four hours before breaking for dinner. According to Canadian sports channel TSN, the players presented a proposal to the owners and the league offered a counterproposal.

Isn't it interesting that the media always flows to concussions when talking solely about football, which has wiped out the media's favorite sport: baseball.  How come no mention of hockey, which had 90 concussions last year? How come no mention of the real villain, in the hockey strike, in my opinion, by the Boston hockey media, Jeremy "the players aren't even worth 47%" Jacobs. How come no cheap shots at  Jacobs, Bob Ryan, like the ones you used to throwm indiscriminently at Bob and Myra Kraft.  How come Murph and Dupes and Hags and Fluto? How come?

How about Jeremy, aka  little Mitt, Jacobs threatening to walk out of the talks at the very start when a player had the unmitigated gall to criticize him. Holy hockey  sticks. What free agents will want to come here?

The Bruins Brand has been permenently damamaged by Jacobs, who, in my opinion is trying to break the Union.  You lost the election Jeremy. Don't you get it.
