The Globe’s preseason football Top 20 is based on what coaches tell us. But the final Top 20, released Sunday along with the Boston.com 100, is based on what our eyes tell us.

The Globe also announced final Top 20s for soccer, volleyball, and field hockey, the latter two on Boston.com/schools.
