Needham boys soccer coach Don Brock, in his 50th season on the sidelines, led his team to a 21-1-3 record this year.
If experience matters, then it’s no surprise that the Needham boys’ soccer team won the Division 1 state title this fall.
Don Brock first started coaching high school soccer in 1961.
His 50th year on the sidelines was a good one, a 21-1-3 record that ended with a win over Amherst, the 662d varsity win of a distinguished career. And along the way, one of his seniors, Mac Steeves, earned All-American honors.
The fall had other winners. From the Watertown field hockey team to the Andover swim team, the start of the school year produced plenty of drama.
