Roundup: Hawks go extra mile to beat Wizards

Lou Williams’s season-high 24 points and Josh Smith’s 17-point, 13-rebound effort led the visiting Atlanta Hawks to a 100-95 overtime win over the Washington Wizards Tuesday night.

Washington took a 93-92 lead on Earl Barron’s jumper with 3:05 left in overtime, then the Hawks scored 6 straight to go up by 5 with 1:29 to play.

Jordan Crawford, who had a triple-double with 27 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists, hit a jumper with 48 seconds left to pull Washington to 98-95.

Heat 103, Timberwolves 92 — Dwyane Wade scored 24 points, LeBron James added 22 points and 11 assists, and host Miami survived a 52-24 rebounding differential to beat Minnesota.

Andrei Kirilenko led Minnesota with 22 points.

Jazz 92, Nets 90 — Mo Williams scored 19 points, Al Jefferson had 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Utah edged Brooklyn in New York, despite nearly throwing away the victory.

Utah turned it over on two inbounds passes in the final 31 seconds.

Gerald Wallace missed a 3-pointer and Reggie Evans’s follow was no good as time expired.

Joe Johnson scored 21 points for the Nets.

Raptors 113, Cavaliers 99 — Jose Calderon scored a season-high 23 points, and Toronto beat Cleveland for its second road win of the season.

Kyrie Irving scored 23 points for the Cavaliers.

Bucks 98, Pacers 93 — Brandon Jennings scored 13 of his 34 points in the fourth quarter and Monta Ellis had 19 points, leading Milwaukee over visiting Indiana.

George Hill led Indiana with 18 and Paul George added 16.

Mavericks 107, 76ers 100 — O.J. Mayo scored 26 points, Chris Kaman added 20, and host Dallas got by Philadelphia.

Dorell Wright scored 25 points and Spencer Hawes had 18 for the 76ers.

Nuggets 112, Spurs 106 — Danilo Gallinari scored a season-high 28 points, outlasting Tim Duncan down the stretch and spurring Denver over visiting San Antonio.

Duncan had 31 points — also a season best — to go along with 18 rebounds for the Spurs.

Lakers 101, Bobcats 100 — Kobe Bryant scored 4 of his 30 points in the final 1:26 as Los Angeles overcame an 18-point third-quarter deficit to beat Charlotte in Los Angeles, handing the Bobcats their 12th straight loss.

Kemba Walker led Charlotte with 28 points.

Warriors 103, Hornets 96 — David Lee had 26 points and nine boards as Golden State topped New Orleans in Oakland, Calif.

Ryan Anderson scored 28 points and Anthony Davis had 15 points and 16 rebounds for the Hornets.
