JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The clock on Tom Brady’s career is ticking and that’s why he was clearly — and audibly — ticked off after the Patriots repeatedly hit the snooze button Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the NFL’s felines of futility.
The Patriots (11-4) flirted with the most ignominious loss of the Bill Belichick era before heading home with an unsightly and unsatisfying 23-16 victory at EverBank Field. New England entered as a 14½-point favorite, but inexplicably the game came down to the final play, a sign-of-the-cross heave into the end zone from the Patriots’ 12 by Jaguars quarterback Chad Henne. The ball was intercepted by Patrick Chung in the end zone.

I agree the Pats looked bad at times. Tom, you need to yell at the guy in the mirror. You'd didn't play too well yourself.
Totally agree. Reminds me of the yelling match last season with O'Brien. TB12 was stinking it up (by our lofty standards) and he wanted to go kick someone's dog. I'm a bit tired of his tendency to point at others when he is stinking it up. Look in the mirror Tom. Better yet, VW pull him aside and give him a bit of advice.
Sorry, people. It's over. There are just better, tougher, more balanced teams out there right now. I hope I'm wrong, but our Patriots would need a miracle to go any further this season.
Too much money and pampering for a core group of these guys...and that results in a loss of drive and perspective of goals. It's the red sox curse haunting the patriots. Very sad.
