The motto for the Notre Dame of Hingham girls’ basketball team this season has been to be physical. That tough work and endurance led the Cougars (6-3) to a 50-45 win over No. 8 Andover Thursday in Hingham.

Andover led the entire game and seemed to be cruising to another victory, but in the last few minutes Notre Dame took control. After a Golden Warriors’ turnover, Cougars senior McKenna Cudgma hit a crucial shot with about two minutes left to put Notre Dame up by a point.
