Former major league outfielder Milton Bradley was charged with abusing his estranged wife and faces up to 13 years in jail, plus $13,000 in fines and restitution, if convicted, Los Angeles prosecutors said Friday. Bradley, 34, was charged Thursday with 13 misdemeanor counts of assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism, and dissuading a witness from making a report. He is free pending a Jan. 24 arraignment . . . Diamondbacks right fielder Justin Upton nixed a trade to the Mariners Thursday. According to FoxSports.com, Seattle offered four players — relievers Charlie Furbush and Stephen Pryor, infield prospect Nick Franklin, and one of three pitching prospects; James Paxton, Danny Hultzen, or Taijuan Walker . . . Outfielder Kosuke Fukudome will return to Japan after five seasons in the majors.
