College hockey roundup: Quinnipiac tops Union

Trailing No. 15 Union, 2-0, entering the third period, it looked like Quinnipiac’s NCAA-leading unbeaten streak was about to be snapped.

The fifth-ranked Bobcats, however, had other plans.

Mike Dalhuisen, Jordan Samuels-Thomas, and Kellen Jones scored in a span of seven minutes in the third period, giving Quinnipiac a 3-2 victory over the Dutchmen in Hamden, Conn., Saturday night.

The Bobcats (17-3-3, 11-0-1 ECAC) are now unbeaten in 16 straight games (14-0-2).
