I think anybody would classify last night's game as a "laugher" in any way, shape, or form.
Not me.
Either you left out a "don't," or you need a grammar checker. I'd like to think the former, you would then merit a "like."
I don't know what game you guys watched, but the one I saw didn't quite have me laughing. In fact, I think the Pats have to work on a recurrent mental flaw that has presented itself from time to time. That is, they seem to take a mental vacation on special teams and defense right after the offense scores. And that little mental vacation costs them anywhere from 50 - 80 yards, which stops me from laughing until the other team is stopped when the Pats wake up again in the knick of time.
How about an article on Bernie Pollard?
My favorite scumbag.

Wish our sportswriters would not write like this. Houston merits more respect. Shaunessey gets off on a narcissistic high by devaluing others. Does not appreciate, apparently, the hard work the Patriots had to put in to beating a worthy opponent. I'm much more impressed by the comments of Tom Brady and Bill Bellichek, both of whom typically show respect for their opponents, and some humility about their own ability to win. It's how you play on that day.
Boring, Dan. Just boring.
No insight here, just meanness and stupidity. not funny anymore
Yes, Dan, this one was a laugher. I was laughing heartily when Gronk and Woodhead went down, and during all those Texan kickoff returns. I had a big chuckle when the Pats defense gave up 10 points in about 10 seconds to end the first half - that was a riot.
Yes, Shaughnessy is kind of a tool. Just because his writing about this game has been boastful and arrogant doesn't mean you should stoop to his level. Gronk and Woody are two hard-working, very good players. You really shouldn't get into the habit of laughing when players like that get hurt. Bad form.
ihateblogs=sheldon?
Loved when the Pats scored and Belichick barely looked up from coaching the defensive line. Guess he had already moved on to the Ravens.
Yes, you have to love that shot, because it did sort expose Bellichick's "nonchalance" about the game at that point. I mean he was caught at a moment of being the real him while not deliberately dissing his opponent (he didn't know he was on camera at that moment)nor giving forced praise in the post game presser. It really was quite a capture.
If they put together a spoof on Bill's complete lack of emotion, it should include that clip with.."And here's a shot of Bill celebrating wildly after a touchdown"
Stop piling on, Dan. Show some humility. I've read all the Houston papers and they are nothing but complimentary for the Pats and critical of Houston. Show some class.
You are starting to write like a Yankees fan. Your gloating is tedious.
All we can tell from this column is that Dan Shaughnessy must have joined a competition for the laziest sports columnist in America.
One of the other posters nailed it, Dan, you're lazy. The constant mocking and mean-spirited insults directed at the Texans takes about as much brain power as your standard 2nd grade recess argument. I used to like your writing but you're just not that good anymore.
Not up to your usual standards, Dan. I can get all the game re-cap material and Brady & Bill quotes from any number of your colleagues. And the rest of it is a rehash of last week's column. I agree with the other commenters.... just lazy, pedestrian and uninspired.
This article reads as if it was written by a teenager with some sort of vendetta. How about just some decent sportswriting with the 'homerism' dialed back by about 90%? Did Bob McNair or Arian Foster do or say something untoward to you or something? A little professionalism, please!
So now you are reduced, Curly-haired one, to spinning the facts widly to attempt to make your last laughable column about this rematch NOT seem stupid. At the end of the first half, and a little when the score became 31-20, real fans certainly were not laughing. It is embarassing to have a Yahoo-town covering sprots for our teams. Many comments are right on; a lazy, useless column likely written while sitting on the toilet.
