As usual, Wes Welker has big game for Patriots

FOXBOROUGH — Not that big? Listed at 5 feet 9 inches and 185 pounds, Wes Welker would probably be the first to concede that point.

But Welker would probably engage Wade Phillips in a healthy debate after the Texans defensive coordinator described the Patriots receiver last week as “not that big or a real athletic guy.’’

Comments

Wade Philips said that Welker isn't, "...a real athletic guy."

The player with the most receptions in the NFL over the past five years.

I can understand why Wade has been fired nine times in his NFL career. What I don't get is why he has been hired ten times.

Agreed Whale, good post. ........Now that his season is over Wade can get to work with that "Belly Buster" he got for Christmas.

Outside of tom brady who is the most valuable player to this team -wes. tom ought to give him part of his paycheck next year because there is no one else he can count on game after game. Big G is an example. he has been great at times but you can't count on him- two years and he is not at the big show again. Fans had better start getting on Bel-Kraft to pay him -now.
