The All-America linebacker and star of a Notre Dame team enjoying a Cinderella season was playing inspired football on the field and dealing with great mental anguish off it. Two of the most important women in his life, his grandmother and his girlfriend, were gravely ill.

Imaginary girl friend? ND has been coed since 1973 and the campus is next to the all girl's school of Saint Mary's College - the more we learn, the worse this looks. Hope he is better at reading the play action pass ....

Pinocchio Te'o.. Keep looking at his nose. It's a convoluted tale that is still being added to by Manti Te'o. Witness the emotional press conference by ND Director of Athletics, Jack Swararbrick, talking about "Catfish." What does he know about that?
