College hockey roundup: BC blows out Northeastern

Second-ranked Boston College entered its game Saturday night against Northeastern looking to end its worst stretch of the season, one win in its previous five games.

After one sloppy period, it didn’t look to be getting any better for BC, as the teams headed to the first intermission tied at 3. But associate head coaches Mike Cavanaugh and Greg Brown did something right between periods and the Eagles reeled off six unanswered goals the rest of the way to post a 9-3 drubbing of the Huskies at Matthews Arena.
