AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — It was the waning minutes of the third quarter when Doc Rivers relented. After feverishly attempting to motivate his team out of yet another stupor, after watching Rajon Rondo commit silly turnovers, after watching the Celtics leave Brandon Knight and Tayshaun Prince open for consecutive 3-point shots, he took a seat on the bench and just watched.

Sorry to say but it is time to make Pierce the 6th man. Let him save the energy on the bench instead of not playing defense and letting his man get easy baskets and not helping with TEAM defense. Let the future be now and get some of the young blood experience. Perhaps Pierce can learn from Rondo and draw and dish off. Rondo should shoot when given the open shot. The season is long from over and some like Garnett give their all... No game is easy in the NBA let the pros act like it and let the new blood in Release the hounds...
