A look inside ‘Francona: The Red Sox Years’

In his eight seasons as manager of the Red Sox, Terry Francona generally protected his players when they veered off the path. It was one of the qualities that made him the best manager in franchise history.

In his new book, Francona stays loyal to that ideal. But there are some interesting passages in “Francona: The Red Sox Years.”

As someone who has worked around the red sox for the better part of the last 15 years I know what a bunch of jerks the ownership team is. They treat the employees like dirt. They are the most egotistical, selfish jerks I've ever met, the players aren't much better. Cant wait to read the book, sure to be no surprises.

Henry is going to wish he sold the team when other partners wanted to 2 years ago.
