FOXBOROUGH — If retiring linebacker Ray Lewis is the emotional ringleader of the Baltimore Ravens’ Super Bowl-bound defense, then strong safety Bernard Pollard is its unabashed knockout artist.
When Stevan Ridley was knocked unconscious in the fourth quarter on a scary hit that left the Patriots running back crumpled on the turf, no one among the Gillette Stadium crowd of 68,756 was surprised to learn Pollard was responsible for the jarring collision.

So is Ridley still alive? Way too much Pollard bloviation in this story when Pats fans want to know how Ridley is doing....
Just keep letting Pollard clobber your playmakers. No one put a payback hit on Pollard, why wouldn't Pollard go after the Pats, no one on the team responds. Weak.
Pollard can say what he wants. Have one of the math folks at MIT run the probabilities for one man on different teams just happening to hit and injure key Pats players nearly every time he takes the field against them. You don't need a crystal ball to guess the answer. This isn't chance. Care to list the key players on other teams he has faced over the same seasons that he delivered a season ending injury to? If all Ridley has is a "mild" concussion we'll be lucky.
Clear helmet to helmet should have been a 15 yard penalty and Patriots keep possesion.
FX is correct. Helmet-to helmet hit. I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioed before.
Now Pollard is saying that Brady should be fined for the leg up slide. This is arguably the dirtest player in the league. They play the Ravens next year and it is time that the players take things into their own hands and teach this idiot a lessen.
Give the 'glory to God' and hit 'em illegally. Right.
