Cavaliers race past reeling Celtics

CLEVELAND — The Celtics were fully aware of Kyrie Irving’s prowess. They were punished by it last season at TD Garden. The best way to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers is to keep them at a healthy distance and not allow Irving to create his fourth-quarter magic.

As has been their pattern all season, the Celtics on Tuesday night decided to challenge conventional wisdom and test logic. They were unable to pull away from their upstart opponent, leaving Irving a juicy opportunity to win the game on his own.

Lets face the facts: KG, Pierce and Rondo cannot do it by themselves. And they have to play better too. Rondo is making some stupid errors and the rest of the team...well besides Bradley (when he is healthy enough to play) they are standing around waiting for someone else to do the job. They take lazy outside shots instead of fighting under the rim. They turn the ball over, they don't play good defense for the whole game. They lose focus......the list goes on and on. Do they think they can just mail it in and make the playoffs? Geez. This is pathetic.
