Junior Seau’s family sues NFL

The family of Junior Seau, the star linebacker who shot and killed himself last year, sued the NFL, the helmet maker Riddell, and others Wednesday, accusing them of hiding information about the link between head hits and long-term cognitive issues.

The family said the league not only ‘‘propagated the false myth that collisions of all kinds, including brutal and ferocious collisions, many of which lead to short-term and long-term neurological damage to players, are an acceptable, desired and natural consequence of the game’’ but that ‘‘the NFL failed to disseminate to then-current and former NFL players health information it possessed’’ about the risks associated with brain trauma.

When in doubt, sue.  It's all about the money.

What did they think he doing on saturday's in college and sunday in the NFL? Playing monopoly? They never had a problem with him bringing home millions of $$$$$.

No respect for these money hungry losers.

It is the responsibility of the NFL to ensure protection of the players. No doubt about it.

Further more, the NFL could be doing a much better job to protect the football players. A good football game is as good as a ballet or the symphony, when executed with finesse.

Wake up NFL _ the fans don't want to see the Ravens come growing onto the field like a team of sociopaths with the intent to hurt the opposing team!
