Indians OK with Terry Francona’s book buzz

Baseball owners are obviously a small fraternity.

They speak to one another, share views about their organizations. There’s always that small-market/big-market issue, but for the most part they stick together.

Comments

Since Francona has made public some very private conversations he had with those in the Sox organization we can expect to hear about some rather embarassing stories Francona didn't want to talk about in his book.

Don't want to hear a peep from Tito when the other side responds.

You can bet this book is not going over well in baseball FO's.

Good luck in Cleveland Tito.  It just may be the last job you get in MLB.

It's simply a matter of "round up the usual suspects"  when you consider the real losers in the Terry Francona tell all, apart from the three stooges, a group to be named later.  One and two, Gerry Callahan and John Dennis, headlong into their pathetic defense of Larry Luchino, ya know the guy who appears on their show, (oh yeah they do that for Brady, too). Suddenly, according to D & C, in my view, Terry is an ingrate who dared to reveal state secrets in a book, even though he was treated with a brick load of disrespect on his departure.    And, as if negative stuff about players the team got rid of somehow never found its way into print or on the airwaves: see Garciapara, Martinez, just to start.  Then you have Nick Carfardo, the baseball version of Kevin " All is Well" Bacon from Aninmal House, always happy to fill the role of Red Sox Publicist, when duty calls, extolling the party line, in my opinion, created, I would have to suppose, at late night meetings over at the Kremlin on Yawkey Way.  Get use to this folks, the Red Sox travelling circus, with equipment truck, propaganda machine and loyal media dupes is right on schedule.  Order  some boots, a golf  umbrella and some strong medicine. The acid raindrops are already falling on our collective heads.

Tito and the Tribe will rule in 2013.

Nick, you're a nice guy and all, but this screams of you acting as the GlobeSox owers' pawn. Turn the page? I'm sure Larry and company would love nothing more than for everyone to turn the page. Fact is, I (and many other Sox fans) turned the page on following the Sox a long time ago after realizing just how fraudulent Henry, Werner & Lucchino are. I'm glad Tito is telling the fans the truth. It's too bad you and the GlobeSox don't like hearing it.
