College hockey roundup: BU rallies to beat Providence

Sophomore forward Evan Rodrigues scored twice and junior forward Sahir Gill added a goal in the third period to lead No. 11 Boston University to a 3-2 road victory over Providence Friday night at Schneider Arena.

The Friars (10-10-3, 8-6-2 Hockey East) jumped to a 2-0 lead on first-period strikes by Ross Mauermann and Brandon Taney before Rodrigues cut the lead in half with his first of the night with 43 seconds left in the first.
