James Harden scored 29 points, Chandler Parsons added 16 points and a career-high 11 assists, and the Rockets beat Brooklyn, 119-106, Saturday night in Houston for their 12th consecutive win over the Nets.
Omer Asik had 20 points and 16 rebounds for the Rockets, who outrebounded the Nets, 50-31, and outscored Brooklyn, 60-24, in the paint.
Nets star Deron Williams scored 27 points, but cooled off after a 20-point first quarter. He was ejected with 1:07 left after arguing a call with referee David Jones. Brook Lopez scored 21 points and Joe Johnson added 13 for Brooklyn.
Jeremy Lin had 14 points, 9 assists, and 6 turnovers for the Rockets.
Lin had his breakout game against Williams last Feb. 4, scoring 25 points and launching ‘‘Linsanity’’ in a 99-92 victory for the New York Knicks. Williams scored 38 points the next time they met at Madison Square Garden, leading the Nets to a 100-92 win.
Williams dominated the matchup at the beginning of the game, scoring Brooklyn’s first 9 points, and 17 of its first 22. He started 7 for 7 and just beat the first-quarter buzzer with his fourth 3-pointer to put Brooklyn up, 29-28. Lin missed his first two shots from the field and went to the bench after 7½ minutes.
With Lin on the floor and Williams resting, the Rockets built a 46-33 lead, dominating inside at both ends. Williams returned and missed two shots, while Houston stretched its lead to 18.
Trail Blazers 101, Clippers 100 — Nicolas Batum had 20 points, 10 rebounds, and a career-high 12 assists for his second triple-double in a week and host Portland handed Los Angeles its fourth straight loss.
The Clippers, playing without guard Chis Paul for the third straight game because of a bruised right kneecap, trailed by as many as 14 points in the first half but reclaimed the lead in the fourth quarter.
They held off the Blazers until Wesley Matthews pulled Portland within 100-99 with a layup and a free throw.
Wizards 86, Bulls 73 — Emeka Okafor had 15 points and 16 rebounds, helping surging Washington beat visiting Chicago.
John Wall and Nene each scored 16 points for Washington.
Jazz 114, Pacers 110 — Al Jefferson scored 25 points and Paul Millsap had 21, leading host Utah over Indiana in overtime.
Utah scored the first 6 points in overtime after blowing a 97-89 lead with 2:44 left in regulation.
Bobcats 102, Timberwolves 101 — Gerald Henderson hit a 3-pointer from 25 feet with 4.6 seconds left to lift Charlotte over Minnesota, snapping a 16-game home losing streak.
76ers 97, Knicks 80 — Jrue Holiday scored a career-high 35 points, Nick Young had 20, and host Philadelphia cruised past New York.
Nuggets 121, Kings 93 — Ty Lawson scored 26 points, Andre Iguodala had 20, and host Denver used a strong first three quarters to rout Sacramento.
Spurs 108, Suns 99— Tony Parker had 31 points and San Antonio collected its eighth consecutive win by shutting down visiting Phoenix in the final quarter.
