Unfortunately what we don't read from "inside Terry Francona's Red Sox Clubhouse" is the truth about the players on that 2011 historic collapse roster.

He's still protecting those dogs. 

Proves , if necessary, that Francona is a decent guy with positive attributes.  But what do we learn? Very little.  A disappointing read and more of a puff piece than a honest assessment of the serious problems that evolved at the clubhouse.  Where we need a Halberstam or Bouton we get the the loyal local kid Shaughnessy making it look good for John Henry and Epstein.
