Lots of seasons, no World Series appearance

There have been plenty of star players who never made it to a World Series, including Hall of Famers such as Andre Dawson, Ernie Banks, Billy Williams, and Rod Carew, as well as likely Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr.

Rafael Palmeiro played in 2,831 games (and 20 seasons) without getting to the World Series, the most by any player. As the 2013 season approaches, some active stars who have a chance of joining that club:
