In two or three hours Sunday afternoon, the fortunes of the Celtics’ season changed, and perhaps their long-term future did, too, with the diagnosis of a serious knee injury to All-Star point guard Rajon Rondo.
Rondo experienced soreness working out before the Celtics’ 100-98 double-overtime win over the Heat at TD Garden, and when he went for a magnetic resonance imaging it revealed a torn right anterior cruciate ligament.

Hey- think about the games that the Celtics won with Rondo out. They play harder when they are forced to.
I for one think the Celtics play a better brand of basketball when Rondo is not on the floor. He gets caught up in playground basketball too ofter plus he's afraid to take an outside shot. Paul Pierce who I highly respect is also slowing down. These new guys, Sullinger, Green, Lee, Bradley, Terry, Wilcox and Barbosa can play and Garnett plays well with them. Green was handling James Sunday in case no one noticed and Bradley and company were giving Wade all he could handle. Give these new guys more time on the floor and the Celtics will be fine
