Jacoby Jones, Joe Flacco, and Anquan Boldin of the Baltimore Ravens celebrated after Jones caught a 56-yard touchdown pass from Flacco in the second quarter.

Bad play-calling in the end zone for sure by Jim Harbaugh. This is a sucky way to win and lose. You never want to have a no-call or call for that matter determine it.

And there you have it. Colin Kaepernick throws it up to Michael Crabtree. Contact by Jimmy Smith, but no flag

***

Colin Kaepernick has 97.9 quarterback rating

***

Ray Rice has 16 carries for 46 yards, a 2.9 yards per run average

***

Justin Tucker with the short field goal to make it an 8-point game again. Ravens 31, 49ers 23

***

When this game is over, we’re going to be talking about third down efficiency. Ravens are 8 of 12 on third down. 49ers are 2 of 8

***

And.... Pierce is hurt. Ouch.

***

Bernard Pierce is such a fantastic running back. Along with Stevan Ridley, definitely a future star of the league.

***

Lucky 49ers. David Akers misses the field goal and the Ravens make another HUGE mistake, running into the kicker.

***

This game has gotten ridiculous. Fumble by Ray Rice. Tarrell Brown with the forced fumble and recovery.

***

Two scores within less than two minutes. Nice game now. Baltimore still in driver’s seat with 8-point lead.

***

Ahmad Brooks with the sack, getting the 49ers their first back-to-back forced punts.

***

I think the 49ers defense is pumped up. Would be first two stops in a row here.

***

And the 49ers get on the board. Michael Crabtree bounces off a tackle and runs in a 31-yard touchdown catch

***

Ravens are now 6 of 9 on third down. Stops are coming few and far between for 49ers.

***

Looks like we’re about to play some football finally. 3rd and 13 for the 49ers when they come back. Don’t be surprised if you see a draw play. 49ers are playing to lose.

***

Jacoby Jones’ 109-yard kickoff return is a Super Bowl record.

***

Ravens Joe Flacco is 13 of 20 for 192 yards and three touchdowns. Has a 135.8 QB rating. Ravens out gaining 49ers 241 to 182. 49ers with three penalties and two turnovers. Ravens with 1 penalty and no turnovers

***

At the half, Ravens 21, 49ers 6.

***

This is getting out of hand. Chris Culliver just gets beat terribly. And no pressure on Flacco for the throw.

***

Chris Culliver looks really bad here after getting beat and then missing the tackle ... twice!

***

Looks like the 49ers have lost their aggressiveness is hurting you. Kaepernick should’ve tucked it it on that second down and run it. He’s lost some mojo after that interception, for sure

***

Ravens wanted a knockout punch. They must not remember the 49ers were down 17-0 before

***

Two turnovers spells disaster for any team during any regular game. Not sure the 49ers can overcome this, particularly if Ravens score here

***

Big squabble between the two teams. Not very nice. More than flags necessary here.

***

Flacco has a 145.5 QB rating now.

***

Flacco to Pitta for the Ravens’ second touchdown. Boom

***

Right now, the Ravens are owning the 49ers

***

Fantastic play by Ed Dickson. Where has he been?

***

Flacco has a 130.3 QB rating so far.

***

LaMichael James’ fumble obviously doesn’t bode well for the 49ers. Baltimore got lucky there. Wouldn’t be surprised if the young fella is benched.

***

Maybe it’s just me, but the scouting report should note that Ver non Davis is a playmaker. He should be covered and covered well.

***

We’re all witness to the strong arm of Colin Kaepernick.

***

Despite the struggles for the 49ers defense, they’ve gotten good pressure on Flacco. He was bound to go down eventually. I think over the course of the game, they’ll win some more battles

***

First quarter comes to a close with Baltimore leading San Francisco, 7-3. Joe Flacco is 6 of 9 for 77 yards and a touchdown. He hit Anquan Boldin for a 13-yard TD. 49ers kicker David Akers nailed a 36-yard attempt easily.

***

Flacco finally goes down. He had escaped at least three hurries before Ray McDonald gets him this time

***

Absolutely crazy by Flacco. He’s already having a fantastic game.

***

Never thought I’d see the Ravens would struggle for a yard. But this 49ers defense does that to the best of ‘em

***

Wonderful play by Joe Flacco to get the ball off and hit Dennis Pitta.

***

Reports are saying that Vernon Davis, who was being looked at by a trainer, is now going over a play sheet with a coach. Should be back in the game

***

David Akers back to muscle memory. Ravens lead 7-3 after a Paul Kruger sack on Colin Kaepernick.

***

First time we’ve seen Kaepernick fake a pass and then run. First wrinkle of #SB47.

***

Both Colin Kaepernick and Alex Smith have a +100 quarterback rating when throwing the ball to Michael Crabtree

***

It was 17/2 odds that Anquan Boldin would score the first touchdown of the game. Ravens go up 7-0. Another deficit for the 49ers to start

***

Good pressure from the 49ers on second down. Another penalty on third down. Looks like the 49ers have some jitters

***

So this is exactly the kind of slow start the 49ers have been having all postseason. Then great field position for the Ravens

***

The 49ers won the toss and will receive. We’ll see how this works out.

Jennifer Hudson performs “America The Beautiful” with the Sandy Hook Elementary School Chorus prior to the start of Super Bowl XLVII between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on February 3, 2013 in New Orleans, Louisiana
