Rob Gronkowski’s shirtless antics are growing old

The TMZ tight end is at it again. Like the Patriots’ offseason, the Gronk Gone Wild tour has started earlier than we hoped.

By now, you’ve probably seen the grainy, cellphone video of Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski getting his shirtless groove on at a Las Vegas nightclub called XS (as in excess) Sunday night. That’s the perfect club name for Gronkowski, who doesn’t do anything in moderation, whether it’s scoring touchdowns, lifting weights, spiking footballs, or partying like a “Real World” cast member.

Lighten up there Christopher. The evolution of the cell phone has dramatically altered the coverage of "personal events" like this..highlighting events that have gone on in an athletes off season for a very long time. I think we all have to just get used to it.

Is this all you have to worry about? Lighten up, Christine.

Good point, Christopher.  I don't even want to think what forearm break #3 would mean for the Patriots.  I'm all for Gronk having fun, but it would be great if he could just take it down a notch.  Staying fully clothed is a good first step; I'd say swearing off dance club body slams would be another.

Who cares?

Oh, no! A 23-year-old kid went out and partied?

I must be a very slow day when you resort to this kind of writing. BOOOOOOOO!

Really the guy is 23 yrs. old...let 'em enjoy his youth!!

Besides it's none of your business....

Its Gronks World. We're just the neighbors.

Are you sure it's his antics, and not you, getting old?  "Those darn kids, galivanting around!"  Just try not to yell at him to get off your lawn.  :)

We aren't talkig about any 23 or 24 year old kid.  We're talking about someone whose compensation is measured in six figures.  He has a responsibility to his employers and the fans who pay to watch him perform.  Certainly he can go out and party without putting his football future at risk.  No one would care if he weren't a great ballplayer.  No one would even know about this.  He DOES need to grow up.  Hopefully he matures just a bit before he ruins a spectacular career.  I personally don't care what he does off the field.  I'll just miss watching him play if he blows it.

Seven figures not six as in millions not hundred-thousands.  Millions that the Pats waste for every game he's not playing.

Strangely, giving all that money to a someone so young rarely results in an increase in maturity.

Well said Chris. It,s time to become an adult before some sharpie takes the 54 million.

Gronk is 23 years old, but he acts like a freshmen frat boy loose in the big city for the first time in his life.  Some may say he is entitiled to act the way does, after all ,look at the contract he was given and the talent  he has been blessed with.  I would hope that the Patriot management  would take him aside and give him a good talking to and lets forget about all the blessing he has and try to interest him in the more serious side of life.  It's time for a 23 year old to get  with the program  and don't be listening to all those who spur him on to the stupid  antics that he has been guilty of.

A friend of mine had a contract that expressley forbade her from skydiving, skiing or any activity outside work that could harm her body.  She made around $75,000. a year, not the MILLIONS Gronk is getting.  Heck, YES, it matters what he does off the field if it harms his body & I would count excess drinking as a danger, too.  Oh, BTW, my friend's way underpaid, yet restrictive occupation?  Prima Ballerina!

The boy has a life, let him enjoy it safely. You can't expect full effort in one area and then just shut yourself down when you aren't doing your job. If he was driving drunk, then I would clamp down.

Anyway, it's just your opinion that this is out of bounds.
