Why Celtics aren’t better without Rajon Rondo

Many Celtics are seeing more minutes since Rajon Rondo was lost for the season. They're seizing the opportunity and contributing more. (Statistics reflect games played through Feb. 6.)
NAME/POSITION
% SCORING IMPROVEMENT
% ASSIST IMPROVEMENT
% REBOUND IMPROVEMENT
CHANGE IN POINTS PER 10 MIN
CHANGE IN ASSISTS PER 10 MIN
CHANGE IN REBOUNDS PER 10 MIN
PER 10 MIN WITH / WITHOUT RONDO
Green, Terry and Bradley are the ones getting more benefit from Rondo's absence, not just in minutes. Bradley, for instance, is scoring 2.43 assists more per 10 minutes than when playing with Rondo.
Every single player has improved his assist figures but the team is still recording less total assists.
Paul Pierce is not scoring more points without Rondo. In fact, he's scoring 11% less, but assisting and rebounding much more.
The Celtics were 18-20 (.473) with Rondo this season. They went 5-0 in the first five games after his knee injury.

NOTE: Sullinger is also out for the season after suffering a back injury.
