The monster snowstorm due to hit New England has forced a number of postponements and cancellations of collegiate athletic events, including all four Hockey East men’s games scheduled for Friday night.

Third-ranked Boston College was to have hosted No. 16 UMass-Lowell; instead the game was pushed back to Feb. 26. That is also the makeup date for the rescheduled matchup between No. 20 Merrimack and No. 13 Boston University at Agganis Arena. Providence’s home game with fourth-ranked New Hampshire was delayed until Feb. 13, and Northeastern won’t travel to Amherst to take on UMass until Feb. 19.
