Bruins trade Tim Thomas to Islanders

In less than 20 months, Tim Thomas went from Stanley Cup hero to suspended player to ex-Bruin.

On Wednesday, Thomas’s peaks-and-valleys ride in Boston ended. The Bruins traded Thomas to the New York Islanders for a conditional second-round pick in 2014 or 2015.

Good riddance!

He helped win the Stanley Cup for the team, rested on his laurels for a season, used his fame to advance his personal political views, took a season-long vacation - ahhh the arrogance.

Good Riddance to this pschopath tea partier.  I still think that his citisenship should be revoked and  he should be exiled . He is a man without a country.

unlike you, dewitt or is dimwit, he still has a functioning brain

I hadn't thought of his politics one way or another until he refused - REFUSED - to attend the White House celebration. That was low - really disrespectful and did not reflect well on Boston or the Bruins.

Now that I learn he lives in Colorado Springs, the home of a whole lot of right wingnuts, strident homophobes, neocon would-be invaders,  and other assorted wackos, I'm not too surprised that his political views turned out to be weird.

I won't miss him at all.

Good goalie for sure. AH otherwise!
