Bruins reflect on Tim Thomas’s time in Boston

During the 2010-11 Stanley Cup run, the offday dinners for Tim Thomas were usually Italian. The dining mates always included Adam McQuaid, David Krejci, and Jordan Caron, as well as several others. The conversations weren’t always about hockey.

“I got to pick his brain on his opinions on certain things,” McQuaid recalled with a smile. “I was always open to listening to him talk. I think everyone knows he wasn’t shy to voice his opinion on different things. I was always open to hearing what he had to say.”

Tim Thomas was a great goalie and the reason the B's took the Cup in 2011. Who can ever forget his performance throughout the playoffs that season? And he was one of those rare athletes who thought for himself. In an era when sports personalities are scripted by PR professionals to emit cliches, jibberish, and infomercial-speak, Thomas was a breath of fresh air.  Good luck, Tim. I will miss you.

Who cares?

Tim Thomas is a selfish little brat that was a terrible team mate. His departure is long overdue. He made Manny Ramirez look like a mature professor.
