Kevin Garnett: ‘Definitely’ last All-Star game

Kevin Garnett was all smiles as the Celtics eked out a win vs. the Bulls on Wednesday.

Kevin Garnett heads to Houston to make his 15th All-Star appearance this weekend, and he announced Wednesday night after the Celtics’ beat the Bulls, 71-69, that it would “definitely” be his last such appearance.

But the 36-year-old has two years left on his contract, it was pointed out.

“Y’all don’t know what I know,” a cryptic Garnett replied.

He added, “I’m not going to act like I’ve got more All-Star games in me. I’m actually going to enjoy this one with friends and family.”

It’s hard to read exactly what Garnett meant by his comments. Is he planning to retire at the end of the season? Does he honestly think he won’t make another All-Star Game? It isn’t clear. Garnett will be available to the media Friday in Houston.
