Sophomore Ara Nazarian controlled a ricocheted shot off the end boards and buried the puck in the back of the net with 6:18 left in the third period as Malden Catholic toppled Cathedral Springfield, 1-0, in the final of the Cathedral Panthers Hockey Classic in Springfield Thursday night.

Top-ranked Cathedral suffered its first loss of the season in its final regular-season game. The Panthers (16-1-4) now await their seeding (likely No. 1) in the Super 8 tournament, which will be announced Saturday.
