TAMPA — Approximately a week before the 2012 NHL draft, Benoit Pouliot received a telephone call from the Bruins. Pouliot’s then-employer informed him that he would not be returning to Boston for the 2012-13 season.

On June 23, the second day of the draft, the Bruins traded Pouliot to Tampa Bay for Michel Ouellet and a 2012 fifth-round pick.
